The Roden Felixstowe is a quite good kit, the parts are mostly clean of flash and has excellent fitting. The final result is a very impressive sized flying boat.
Before and during the build I consulted the Windsock datafile n°82, other models in the Internet and the Wingnut Wings data base which was very useful for small details.
With so many colorful versions to be inspired with I settled on N4465 because I loved the wood finishing.
I added Brengun photo etched for the Roden kit that enhanced some parts such as the engines (that are very noticeable) and machine gun rings.
The model was painted with Tamiya and Gunze acrylics and Abteilung 502 oils for the wood effect.
My model is far from perfect as it was my first big kit. It took a bit longer than I expected and I’ve made many mistakes. But I also learned a lot and I thouroughly enjoyed.

PS: Sorry, some pics show the side of our photo-booth simply because the model is very very big.
