ACADEMY P-47D THUNDERBOLT "OLE COCK"

This model represents Lt. Donovan Smith's aircraft; it was painted with Mr hobby aqueous colors and Ak real colors acrylics, and weathered with Tamiya enamel washes; chipping was done using Ak chipping fluid.

Photo-etched was used for the interior and wheels were replaced with True detail resin ones.

The position of the pitot tube was corrected from the right to left wing, and was replaced with a Master Pitot tube.

The propeller was replaced with a spare one from the Tamiya P-47 Razorback.

Aftermarket decals from Hussar Productions were used, they and are part of the book: Fighting units in color 56th Fighter Group part 1.
