TAMIYA F4U-1A CORSAIR : IRA KEPFORD

This Tamiya's F4U-1A Corsair, built in the markings of Ira Kepford's aircraft. This is another other build; built back in 2018-19.

The model was painted with acrylics. Ak chipping fluid and Tamiya enamel washes were used for the weathering effects.

Eduard Photo-Etched was used for the interior as well as some scratch-built additions, and the flaps were replaced with Aires ones.

The landing gear was detailed with watch-maker springs, wire and plastic. 

The decals used are from 4 different sheets, the reason for this is because there were some inaccuracies on the Tamiya ones, such as the proportion of the victory markings which were wrong.
